Wow – I knew there was something rpgish coming in the Summer Uprising, but after watching the trailer there seems to be one serious fun RPG in the pipeline! Enjoy!

Sometimes all you need to watch is a little video and you know you want a game. I love puzzle games and this one looks great.
Retro style combined with 3D elements is something I really enjoy! Just have a look at the tutorial video and then download it for XBLIG if you like it.
Orbitron: Revolution Trailer
Due to time issues I haven´t covered the Dream Build Play 2011 (or anything else for that matter), but it´s never to late, right? So I will try to post at least some cool stuff, like this trailer. And yeah it´s indie – just wait until the end.
Summer Uprising Trailer by VVGTV
Ryan from VVGTV made this very cool trailer for the coming Summer Uprising – no doubt I need to check out some of these titles. What do you think?
Cute Things Dying Violently Trailer
Maybe you heard of the Summer Uprising? I must admit that due to time issues these last few months I hardly had time to follow it. But it´s still a while until the finalists are announced and I will try to cover the most promising title. And there are a lot of titles worth playing from the looks of it.
Today lets start with “Cute Things Dying Violently“! The first time I noticed the game was on the Neogaf forum where I watched some early material that was mostly bloody – bloody fun that is. Now the game obviously is nearing completion and you see that it´s a title made with a lot of love and effort spend on it. Enjoy the trailer.
Hands On Cthulhu Saves The World

We indienerds follow a simple recipe with our reviews; if it is not worth playing for at least fans of the genre, then we don´t bother reviewing it. No point in wasting your time or ours.
The games reviewed here represent the best you can find on the Xbox Live Indie marketplace and when I tell you that “Cthulhu Saves The World” is one of the finest indie games I ever reviewed, you might want to consider skipping the review and just go ahead and download it. I won´t blame you (much) and I don´t limit this suggestion to fans of the (J)RPG genre – this game is suited for everyone who enjoys a good laugh and well-thought-out dialogs.
Before you hit the MORE button to read the full review you should prepare yourself by adding the game to your download queue on the marketplace site and turn on your Xbox.

Hands On: Chu’s Dynasty
Chu’s Dynasty is touted as a combination between the frenetic gameplay of Super Smash Bros. and the controlled, one-on-one battles of Street Fighter. The development team at Tribetoy has managed to not only create an intriguing game that plays very well, but also an incredibly well produced one. The game has production values that are up there with some Xbox Live Arcade games, surpassing others. Chu’s Dynasty is a little rough around the edges, but these flaws are understandable and easy to overlook (for the most part).

Hands On: Soulcaster II
Recently, genre mash-ups have provided some of the more enjoyable and interesting pleasures in the gaming medium. Titles such as twin-stick/dungeon crawler Inferno or tower-defense/shooter Toy Soldiers continue to make me think that, if Dr. Frankenstein were real, he’d probably give up the mad scientist gig and just start tossing together different game types. Earlier this year, indie developer MagicalTimeBean gave the world Soulcaster, the genre blend of tower defense and Gauntlet and what was quite possibly my favorite game of the year. And now its sequel is upon us, giving us another taste of that unique yet delicious recipe we remember from the first game.

Xbox Indie Devs Start A Winter Uprising
It´s no secret that the average quality of games released on the Xbox Live Indie Games channel is rather low. This winter the situation will be different. 13 high profile games will be released in a short period of time making it more than just worth visiting the channel.
The first game will hit the channel very soon, it is Epic Dungeon, a great Dungeon Crawler that is as simple as addictive. And with developers like Zeboyd Games (Breath of Death VII) or Radiangames (Inferno, Crossfire,…) in the mix the next titles will be on a similar high level. Check out all the coming games on indiegames-uprising.com.
