I like YouTube – it´s a great place to find stuff that XNA devs are working on. A lot of what you see here might never make it into games or is right from the start meant as a tech demo, but that´s not the point. This new category is devoted to videos I found on YouTube and thought would be worth sharing.
This time I have 5 videos for you that I think are nice to watch and maybe even a bit educative.
#1 is titled Terrain Flyover and shows you a nice isle with cool optics and what seems like a real time generated wind sound. Looks quite promising – just as the other two videos from MenuInProgress that follow this one if you hit the MORE button under the video.
#2 looks like a similar island but this time there is a motorbike driving on it. Might be the reasons it´s titled Bike Gameplay WIP
#3 is my favorite video in the trio and I can see a very cool RPG there … or maybe a platformer … or some kind of mining game. Have a look at Block World.
#4 shows a ragdoll editor – I never really looked into how ragdolls work. Just by watching the video I got quite educated … interesting stuff. As a dev you need to watch XNA: Skinned model ragdoll.
#5 is a tech demo for an engine that is supposed to be made available to XNA devs in the first quarter of 2011. It looks promising and the devs are obviously very optimistic… but see for yourself in Xna 4.0 Xbox 360 technology bomb part 1/4
I hope you liked the videos – please let me know if you want to see stuff like that in the future.

That block world thing looks like a minecraft clone.
The first three videos are of stuff I’ve been messing around with lately. With “Block World”, I’m planning on going more of a 3D Dot Game Heroes direction than a Minecraft direction. I’m not currently planning on having terrain editing being part of the gameplay.
Thanks for posting the videos, Gerald!
Nice feature! There’s some great stuff I’ve seen around youtube. I like the aesthetic of Block World, it reminds me of 3D Dot Game Heroes. The XNA 4.0 stuff does look pretty impressive as well.
Might be interesting to get in contact or interview some of these indie devs. Get some insight into the development process.
If you’re looking for more, here are a couple that I’ve been following/waiting for a release for:
Hollandia
Macaroni & the Broken Sword

I like the idea of something 3D Dot Heroes on the Xbox – having it on XBLIG would be even nicer.
Thanks for the suggestions – Hollandia I already covered (and have a close eye on) http://indienerds.com/wordpress/?p=510
But Macaroni I didn´t know – thanks for the suggestion … is that title still in development? Seems to be a long time since any updates.
Wish I knew concerning Macaroni as the game looks pretty cool. The Nico video linked was posted back in February 2010 and showed off a map where you could select levels as well as a couple of battles featuring skeleton kings.
Karu duck does maintain a blog [ http://karuduck.blog50.fc2.com/ ], but it’s all Japanese and I only know a few words.
Another game, Revolver360:
