EA fucked up with their servers and gamers have to wait … so what could one do instead?

MYO – Wearable Gesture Control

I was really impressed by the LEAP and am already working on two titles I will have hopefully finished for the launch of it. But the time of impressive new input devices is not over yet – here comes the MYO!
So I have to add another device to my growing library – can’t wait to pair one of these with my Hydra, the LEAP and an Oculus Rift.

Reus – great looking 2D god game

Since the times I played Populous many moons ago I have fallen in love with god games, a genre not that popular these days. So I am even more excited about this little gem called Reus!
So far I don’t think I have ever played one in 2D – so this will be something special for me.

Death Inc. – demos available

Now this is a lovely style – just the right thing for a game about death and pestilence. ‘
Ambientstudios is currently running a Kickstarter for their game Death Inc and they just released demos for it – PC, Linux, Mac and even a Unity webplayer demo is available.

RIOT – the simulator

Do you remember Prince of Persia? It’s a game over 2 decades old and it ruled because of the lifelike animation of the characters.
With RIOT, an actual riot simulator, similar lifelike animations give the world a very real feeling. Just have a look for yourself. The game is coming to iOS and Android, but they might also deliver PC and Mac versions.

Super Time Force – this is Arcade Heaven

You might have heard of the indie hit Sword & Sorcery, now those guys have hippos in space, and dogs, and time travel of the cool sort. Remember those hectic Super Meat Boy replays?

Now imagine they are all fighting with you … until they die, where you died when you were them.

a LEAP dev kit coming to indienerds

A couple of weeks ago I registered at www.leapmotion.com for the dev program.
Today I got a mail from them that I have been approved and that they will send me a LEAP.

Thank you LeapMotion – I can’t wait to check it out in Unity.

There was a time when I was really sad the classic platformer vanished from gaming.
Thank you indieverse, that time has long been over.
And there is still so much that evolves with platformers seen in games like FEZ or Urban Space Squirrels or A.N.N.E … just look at the presentation with creator Mo from gamesbymo after the break.

TRI – I just bought the alpha

These days I don’t buy many games, but when I came across TRI I just had to support them with my 5$ and am amazed at the cool game I got. At the moment the title is on a hiatus and the game an early alpha, but let’s hope we will see further development soon.
